Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need Pilates experience?
Not at all. Our classes are designed to meet you where you are. If you’re new to Pilates, start with FORM.1, our foundational Pilates class. Have more specific questions? Reach out and we’ll help you find the right starting place.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable, fitted clothing that allows you to move freely. Grip socks are required and are available for purchase at the studio.
What do I need to bring?
Just yourself, water, and grip socks. We will provide all the equipment you need for class.
How early should I arrive?
Please arrive 10-15 minutes early for your first class so that you can meet your instructor, discuss your goals, experience and any limitations, and get settled in. For future classes, please be at your station prior to class time to receive all needed instructions and equipment settings.
The Formery is a structured training environment. These standards exist to maintain safety, flow, and consistency across all sessions.
Respect the Space
The Formery is a shared space built around community. Please treat our instructors, team, fellow members, and equipment with care and respect. Help us keep the studio clean by wiping down your equipment after use and returning props to their designated places.
Health + Safety
Please let your instructor know about any injuries, physical limitations, or other circumstances that may affect your participation. Our instructors can offer modifications or alternative exercises, but they do not diagnose or treat injuries. Always work within your own limits and stop if something doesn’t feel right.
Cancellations + No-Shows
We have a 12-hour cancellation policy. Cancellations made within the 12-hour window are subject to loss of a credit or a $15 penalty for Empower memberships. No-shows are subject to a loss of the credit or a $20 fee for Empower memberships.
Waitlist
If a class is full, join the waitlist. When a spot becomes available, you will be granted that spot based on your priority number on the waitlist.
Memberships
Memberships automatically renew according to the membership terms selected at purchase. Please contact the studio to upgrade or pause your membership. Cancellations require 30 days notice prior to your next billing date.
Arrival
First-time clients must arrive 10 to 15 minutes early. Additional instruction is required for machine setup and orientation to studio protocols. Late arrivals will not be permitted into class.
Please arrive to class with enough time to get ready, receive setup instructions, and be at your station at the start of class. If you are 5 minutes late, your spot may be forfeited.
In the Studio
Cell phone use is not permitted in the main studio during class sessions. Our studio is designed to be a focused and distraction-free environment. Please honor that environment for yourself and the people training alongside you.
For safety and cleanliness, gum is not permitted in the main studio.
No outdoor shoes are permitted in the main studio. Please only wear grip socks or studio shoes beyond the main studio door.
Clients must be 18 or older to attend group classes. Please contact the studio to arrange a private or semi-private session for clients under 18.
